Spent most of the day doing stuff for my potential little start-up. Like Ruby said, the first few are bound to fail, so why not start failing asap so I can get them over with.
Plans aren't concrete yet so i'll probably blog about them sometime later.
Or not.

Business guys :)
I was just thinking to myself the other day [during AB228A; no surprise there] how amazing it is that a business suit can make any guy look good. Lucky i'm in NBS :D
Then I wondered if it's got anything to do with me being a sucker for guys with authority.
Hmmm.
I'm off to Sam's now! :)

The Cow Economy
What you do when you have 2 cows:
TRADITIONAL CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a baby bull.
Nurse and feed it well.
They mate, your herd multiplies and the economy grows.
You invest & keep the gains into the country reserve.
You sell them and everyone retires on the income.
AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You mortgage both of them to the bank & obtain investment for two more cows.
Then re-mortgage the investment the four cows for eight cows and continue to do likewise.
The financial market is flooding with mortgages & investments in cow's assets.
No one knows where & who owned the original 2 cows.
Then these 2 original cows grew old & eventually died.
You are surprised when there's no asset to back up the mortgage or repay the loan.
Finally, you ask the govt to bail out the collapsed financial cow market.
A FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike because you want three cows.
A JAPANESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk.
You then create clever cow cartoon images called 'Cowkimon' and market them World-Wide.
A GERMAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You re-engineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves.
A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Both are mad.
AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows, but you don't know where they are.
You break for lunch.
A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5,000 cows and none of which belong to you.
You charge others for storing them.
A CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim full employment and high bovine productivity.
You have the newsman who reported on the numbers arrested.
AN INDIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You worship them.
A MALAYSIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You signed a 40-year contract to supply milk at RM0.06 per litre.
Then midway through, you raised the price to RM0.60 or you cut the supply.
When the buyer agrees to the new price, you change your mind again and now want RM1.20.
The buyer decided you can keep the milk and they go look for milk that comes from recycled cows or the cow urine instead.
Your two cows retire together with the Prime Minister.
And last but not least,
A SINGAPOREAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
One "cow-peh" and one "cow-bu".
Got it from an email some time ago; found it again while i was clearing my inbox and decided to post it.

Earning through Bux3
Yes, yet another PTC website. I got introduced to it through Yvonne, and joined as her referral. Just waiting for her to reach the minimum payout so we can prove whether it's real or not. I'm not too sure about the credibility of this site, because i haven't heard much about it over at SGClub, and i couldn't access its forum so that means support is down too.
It's basically similar to Neobux as i've posted in the previous entry, but with a lot more advertisements. I'm not sure whether it's because the ads are fixed for a particular period [week/month] and when i joined yesterday i clicked like all 28 ads so it seemed like a lot [meaning $0.28 which is waaaay more than Neobux], but it would mean that i'd have exhausted the ads for the rest of the period. I don't know yet, but i'll find out by the end of today [or tomorrow, since i won't be home until tomorrow afternoon].
Will update more about this one. Earnings seem a little too good to be true.
Edit [0612081406]: Oookay. So it's really 20+ ads per day. I managed to click 29 ads today, so that means another $0.29. Altogether i've already got $0.63 within 2 days. Wow. At the rate we're going, Yvonne will reach cashout in about a week or less. Will post more information then.

Earning through Neobux.
Yes, i've been trying out yet another pay-to-click [PTC] website, called Neobux. I only joined yesterday, but i've already got 9 cents. Compare this to Emailcashpro, where you'll probably reach this amount only after a week or so? Neobux looks promising.
1. You don't get emails sent to you.
Instead of accessing the advertisements through your email inbox, the advertisements are displayed on Neobux's user-friendly site, so you won't have your inbox cluttered up with advertisements. The idea is the same, visit the site for 30 seconds and you'll get credited with $0.01 per advertisement.
2. Renting referrals.
This is an interesting concept. Instead of trying to refer people by yourself, you can rent your referrals by paying a small amount... about $0.30 per referral. Apparently what i've seen from other reliable sources is that these referrals are pretty active too, so you don't have to be too concerned about getting dead referrals who don't do any clicking. As soon as i reach $0.90, i'm gonna get me some referrals :D I just have to keep reinvesting and i'm sure the money will come in soon.
3. Payment proof.
The forum in Neobux is full of it. I think you'll be impressed if you take a look! If those are too distant to you, do check out SGClub forums; lots of people have good things to say about Neobux. It's where i heard about it in the first place :)
The only problem i've had so far is that i don't have an Alertpay/Paypal account, which are the only ways in which Neobux is paying. I signed up for an Alertpay account, not sure if it's reliable enough but i've seen people getting their money through it. I'll post once i get mine :D
If you're online everyday like me, why not spare a few clicks to earn some extra moolah? ^^

Earning money online.
So instead of studying for my last two exams, i'm sitting in front of the computer looking for ways to earn money through the internet. This is all thanks to my attempts to do affiliate marketing through Clickbank [that wasn't a referral link, go ahead and click -.-].
You see, i was thinking that since i already have a site in which i'm posting articles, i might as well try to earn a little money from it. After all, it's free. Of course, i'm not expecting to earn very much from this sort of thing. Just thought, why not?
The way i'm doing it is by putting affiliate links from my other blog to Clickbank's sites, and i earn commission if people link through me and eventually go on to buy the product. What are the chances? I know it's close to zero at this rate, so i use another site like Ezine to post the same articles that i have on my blog. No extra work done, since i'm already writing articles for my own blog in the first place.
Ezine helps to increase the exposure to my articles, and from there people can link to my blog, whereby they link to Clickbank. A little complicated i know, but it just takes a little effort.
Haven't got anything out of it yet, but i'll update again when i do. It's trusted; KS's friend earns lots from this. I trust it anyways.
Anyway, here's another site where you get paid just to read emails. You'd probably have heard of it, and it's free to join. It's just that it takes quite a long time to accumulate enough money to cash out. Won't be a problem if you have enough referrals [get your friends to join].
I reeeaaally should get back to studying.

If money could talk, it would say goodbye.
The sad thing is, it's not really peoples' own fault that they lost their money.
I was just discussing with my mom about the financial screw-up. People losing their life savings and retirement funds through minibonds and the stock market crash. And i was wondering, even if you can get peoples' money back, can you ever regain their trust/confidence?
It's going to take a while for the economy to recover. Probably even longer for reputations and confidence. But i'm not really going to talk about it on such a macro scale.
I really feel for those people who have innocently lost all their life savings overnight. By innocently, i mean those who didn't actively decide to invest. Unlike those who trade equities and were prepared to take high risks [so they should be prepared to lose a lot, although i'm not saying that they deserve it], these people managed to lose all their money through what they thought were low-risk products.
I used to joke with my poly friends that after we had gone through our module on personal financial planning, we felt much poorer. Because from that, we realised how difficult it is to earn and keep money.
Imagine, just after you manage to pay off all your debts around your 40's [yes, normal people will have debts unless you're from a rich family in the first place] and start to accumulate some savings for a rainy day, some supposedly risk-free product comes along and helps to lose it all for you.
Not fun.
Anybody still wanna trust the big banks? Then again, it's not really like we have a choice.
