Leave Out All The Rest

When my time comes
Forget the wrong that i've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest

Would you miss me if i died tomorrow?

Would you still miss me if i chose to die tomorrow?

Just a thought. Though my cough and nosebleed might just kill me anytime now.

Great.

So for the past couple of days i've been trying to get my studies back on track a little.

As tweeted, I went to see a doctor yesterday because of an ear-nose-throat infection. Ironic thing that happened: when two of my friends asked what was wrong with me, i said, "Ear-nose-throat infection," and both said, "E.N.T.?" I hadn't realised it was such a common term. So when i went to the doctor's, she asked what was wrong with me and i replied, "E.N.T."

She asked, "What's that?"

-_____________-

Anyway. She said it was mild. And then proceeded to give me tablets for runny nose, tablets for sore throat, cough syrup, lozenges, and ear drops. The irony just gets worse.

-

Today i woke up early. I thought that i'd be able to get some things done. I spent the 3 hours before leaving home befriending the toilet and battling the bad food i had the night before. Heck i don't even know what i ate. So yes, i had an ear-nose-throat infection [which is actually getting worse, not better; sorry for lying to the people who asked] as well as diarrhoea.

Went to school for meeting, then lessons. Didn't have lunch, because i was afraid that the diarrhoea would come back. After class i immediately went for training at NIE. Didn't have my usual Mac, and figured that i could get some proper food at the NIE canteen.

It was closed.

I survived on a toblerone chocolate bar and Fabian's mee sua until now. It'll last until later, because i still have to do up powerpoint slides for my second presentation tomorrow, which i haven't started on. Yes i have two lessons tomorrow, and my groups are presenting for both.

Yay.

Ouch.

As tweeted, i went for my physio at CGH this morning. After 10 minutes of warmups, then some more time for stretches, i was told that i needed a deep tissue massage for my tight ITB. It kinda went like this.

"Okay you ready? This is gonna be painful."

"Yeah, i know. I heard."

[One.]

"...Ow."

"Your reaction's a little slow huh. Okay second one."

[Two.]

"Argh."

"Three more."

[Three.]

"Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

"This is what happens when you don't do your stretches."

"Omg gimme a break, gimme a break."

"Okay. 10 seconds."

[Four.]

"Just breathe. Relax."

"AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Okay. 10... 9... 8... ..."

x___________x

[Five.]

-No noise but plenty of teeth-clenching and bed-grabbing-

"Okay, done. Now the other leg."

Wow. I can't wait for the next time -.-

21-21

Yes, i've started training for it. I know it's a little late, especially since i'm taking forever to progress, but i'm gonna do it no matter what. Here's my plan to train up, as well as to keep fit and lose some weight.

Monday: Swim
Tuesday: Jog
Wednesday: Not sure yet. Maybe House :D
Thursday: Jog
Friday: Swim
Saturday: House
Sunday: Cycle

It's just a tentative plan, but i hope it'll work out. I've been jogging on Tuesdays and Thursdays already, and i'm planning to swim at my uncle's condo. Hope they allow guests to use the pool frequently =/

As for cycling, KS and i have a few plans in mind. This weekend we're gonna start by cycling to Changi Beach. The next time we'll probably cycle to East Coast through the Bedok park connectors like we did previously. And after that, probably East Coast via Changi, which is a longer way. See how la :)

Since i've only got 3 months, i can only make a rough plan for now. 7km by mid-June, 14km by mid-July, so by mid-August which is the run, i should be able to do it fine. Not fantastically, but at least i'll probably finish before they end the whole race.

Diet-wise i'm trying to cut down on carbohydrates, as well as have smaller meals throughout the day. It's not exactly working now since i keep meeting up with friends for dinner and we'll always eat a lot. Oh well.

It's almost Wednesday. Mid-week already :)

Will be at Redang next week, so it's gonna be sun, sea, and snorkelling!

Happy Lunar New Year!

I'm having a fantastic start to the new year.

Presently i'm having a blocked nose, breathing difficulties, and a bad stomach. The only reason i'm here now though i'm pretty tired is because i can't breathe while i'm lying down. Oh and my dog bit me earlier on. My skin came off but hey, at least there wasn't any blood.

Please give me good luck for the rest of the year following a horrible start, thank you.

Oh.

Went to the eye doctor to get my eye checked yesterday. Yes, finally, after like 5 - 6 years. And he found out what's causing my tearing problem.

My yellowish eyes are caused by pigmentation; it's normal. So quit freaking out, i'm not a werewolf, and really, my eyes aren't THAT yellow. Maybe just off-white.

I've really got perfect eyesight. In fact, i'm +25, meaning that i'm actually long-sighted by a bit, which is even better. All babies are born long-sighted, and it gradually deteriorates. I guess i've still retained a bit of my baby vision -.-

The nurse put some eyedrops to make my pupils dilate, in order for them to do some check, so subsequently for a few hours everything nearby was a blur, and everything outdoors was way too bright.

Ah here's the interesting part. They gave me some painkiller drops, then the doctor put an injection into my right tear duct. He said if i tasted anything in my throat i could just swallow it.

O_O

So he injected some saline solution into my right tear duct, and I ACTUALLY FELT THE LIQUID RUNNING DOWN MY THROAT AHH GROSS. I never knew the tear duct, nose, and throat were linked.

Then he tried on my left tear duct. Nothing happened. The saline solution just came back out. That means it's blocked, and explains why i've been tearing on my left eye for ages and ages. Apparently this kind of thing usually happens to people over 40. Oh well =/ Lol. Requires a bit of surgery to fix, but don't think i'll be going for it. Spent years having this problem and i'm still fine -.-

Yay now i got fixed answer to people who ask, "Why're you crying?"
