So anyway.

Two busy days. I spent my whole Sunday at East Coast, firstly getting lost with Fabian because we couldn't find the location, and walked for an hour from Big Splash to the cable-ski lagoon. Then washed cars. I think Soul Funky alone washed about 20+ cars. All the way until the sky turned dark. I kinda got a bit sian in the evening because the number of cars to wash were increasing exponentially compared to our rate of washing cars. It seemed never-ending.

We rewarded ourselves after the whole thing, with dinner at Jumbo Seafood :D Found out that Ray is, like, a gourmet. He can identify ingredients in our food. And he has experience in dining at restaurants [read: knows what to do when food doesn't arrive promptly - and he gets a little scary]. Cereal prawn balls are awesome :)

Stayed over at KS's place. While i was there, i tried to access my results online for 45 minutes but to no avail. I gave up, deciding to try again in the morning, but it still didn't work. Got fed up and decided to apply for the SMS service. My results are pretty bleargh. Not a single A, two A- [including Psych, meaning i can take it as a minor], one B+ and two Bs. Sian.

Went back home and rushed out again, to meet Yvonne to swim. Ended up just soaking in the pool for about an hour. Had lunch with her after that, then went back home again, sat at the lappie waiting for my phone to charge for about 15 minutes, then headed out again to meet Limin to get PJ's birthday present.

We spent quite a long time deliberating whether we should get the shirt. It says 'In BEAT we trust' on the front, and 'Back to the basics' at the back. I think it's nice :)

We were intending to head over to Peninsula Plaza for Limin to get her sponge cap but dropped off the bus halfway to go to the studio instead. Apparently we arrived just in time to watch them celebrate for him lol.

Oh Limin spotted this pair of purple leopard print shoes at on sale at $29, but unfortunately it was several sizes bigger. Too bad ;) You should be spending less anyway :D

Results supposed to be out but i can't access the student portal due to the huge number of people trying to get in at the same time as i am. I'm not really excited to know my results, but i think it'll be good to have a peace of mind before i sleep.

Will update once i get home in the morning. Hopefully by then i'll be able to check my results. And upload the photos that i took today at East Coast of Soul Funky washing cars as a canvassing project for JDC. Yay :)

I just got my 8 megapixel camera. It has phone functions integrated into it.

Yeah. It's not a camera in a phone; it's a phone in a camera.

I haven't gotten down to exploring its functions completely, since i've been charging it from the time i got back home, as well as getting calls from Brain [in total i've talked to him for about an hour over 3 phone calls today -.-].

Speaking of phone calls. I blogged about the day Quil got his new phone, and he called me and woke me up from my nap just to test out his new phone. And Benedict, who also got his new phone shortly after, decided to take a leaf out of Quil's book and do the same. Yet when i called them in return just now when i got my new phone, neither of them picked up.

Grr.

Anyways. I shall make full use of my camera :D Let's go out!

2008.

It's a little too early to be doing a summary essay for the year, and i don't even remember what happened throughout the whole year to be able to do so, but anyway. This was triggered by Quil, who keeps talking about his summary essay.

In 2005, we agreed to write a 5,000 word essay, but i think neither of us managed to. This year, i'm not even going to attempt the same thing. I'm just trying to read my LJ to recall the things that happened.

2008 felt like such a long year, but when i read my entries, i can clearly remember writing each of them, how i felt at each point in time, and every moment that i wrote down. Perhaps it's because i wrote so few entries this year. Only 50+ maybe? It's kinda sad, because when i started out with LJ, i had almost an entry everyday on average.

A few things that left lasting impressions on me though, are:

- Graduating from Temasek Poly, including spending much of the final semester chionging projects
- Genting trip with my coursemates; my first trip abroad without my family/boyfriend
- My first proper working experience, where i experienced month-end closing
- Wu Zone recital and the rehearsing process, as well as the fun post-production party
- Getting my tattoo
- Starting school in NTU and feeling helpless all over again, yet finding friendship where i'd least expect it :)

Gained some friends and lost some. Particularly in a time where i moved from one stage of my life to another, again. These are the times where the friends you can keep [or F.U.C.K.s - okay i'm just kidding] differentiate themselves from others who just make fleeting appearances in your life. I miss my poly friends and the times we spent, but the future has much more to offer, and i hope to meet them again when i work next time :)

My new friends in NTU are really nice. I have many acquaintances, from Ayden, my class, and Soul Funky, but no one i can truly hang around with all the time. This makes me a lot less secure than i felt in poly, but it's alright, it'll get better when i'm back to school :)

And those friends who stayed with me as i moved from one stage of my life to another, whom i can always count on to be there no matter what. Love you guys so much <3

I learnt a lot in 2008, and changed quite a bit. I don't know how to put it, but while everything seems so fresh in my memory, the whole year seems to have dragged on for ages and ages. Welp. It's coming to an end now anyway, so let's all look forward to a better year ahead!

Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus

I've only read half the book, but i'm already feeling rejuvenated and excited. I know it's probably going to be another of my 三分钟热度 things again, but hopefully i'll gain at least something little out of it.

It's a good book, really. I can really relate to all the stuff - it's like the book was written for me. Then i realised we're not as different from other couples as i thought we were. I always say that we're complete opposites, but the book helped me to understand that some of those opposites are natural and to be expected.

There aren't many problems with my relationship now [as compared to previously; we're a much happier couple now] but i'm sure there are ways the whole thing can be improved. Looking forward to it :)

Oh, and to my new phone tomorrow ^^

Yay :) Thanks to the vouchers i got from one of my relatives, and a discount at MPH, i got the book 'Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus' at less than $4. Woots!

Got several other prezzies from gift exchanges and stuff. One was a Mr. P lamp from KS's friend's traditional Christmas eve dinner-cum-gift exchange. Apparently Samantha got exactly the same thing, in the same colour, on the same day, through a similar gift exchange, and tested it out on the same morning as i did. From completely separate events.

This Christmas, i got some gift vouchers, some money, some Body Shop lotions [from different people], some chocolates, a red spag top, a pillow, a cap that says 'dancing' [although that wasn't exactly for Christmas; Sam and Dine got it from Taiwan] and a jar of stuff :) And the one above.

And a lot of time spent with loved ones <3 Just spent the whole day chilling with the babes today. I really can't wait till i get my phone so i can start spamming pictures!

Oh, speaking of phone. I went on the 24th to get my new phone from Red. Even prepared my old phone to trade-in and everything. They said they could transfer my number over from Green but had to ensure that i didn't have any contract with them anymore. Which i thought fine, because i had thought my contract with Green had ended long ago. To be sure, i went over to Green to check.

"Your contract expires on the 26th of December."

. . .

Dammit. Two freakin days -.-
