This morning on the way home, I heard a song on the radio. I don't know what song it is, but I recognised it from the video that was made by the A&F IG main comm for our Celebration of Learning. And then I heard it again in Aunty Jo's car when we were returning home from dinner.
Unfortunately the video has been taken down, or I would've posted it here.
Poly life was awesomely fun. So carefree. It was really my turning point [though I ended up turning back during Uni, but that's besides the point]. Made so many friends and by the end of 3 years, almost everyone knew everyone else. Had time to have fun and still get work done properly. Heck, even working on projects together was fun.
A bit sad that after Uni year 1, I changed back to the quiet person I was in secondary school. It's a good thing I have Soul Funky to keep me insane though [yes, insane; not a typo]. And of course, in year 2 sem 2, school turned from a hellhole to a place of security.
Those Soul Funky trainings almost every night. Training hard together even though we were all exhausted. I miss it.
But I miss hall the most. The place where everything was perfect and even if it wasn't, it would end up being okay eventually. The simple happiness. I don't know why, but I miss it so, so much.
"Buildings crumble. People die. Friends move away. But your memory of them will always stand. And they will be as real there, inside you, as they were when they were standing next to you.
Your memories are real. They are the dreams of the past. And they will live with you always."

Busy, busy days.
I can always think of better things to do when i'm all caught up with work/exams. Probably one of the very few times i actually didn't was during the crazy 3 months of training with Soul Funky earlier this year, where i was right where i wanted to be :)
So i haven't exactly been sticking to my routine of regular exercise, but that's because i've been having so many things on. On Monday i met up with my poly friends for dinner, and this must've been the shortest dinner we've ever had. We just had dinner and left. Welp, that's working life.
Yesterday i was at the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen gala premiere at Vivo. I haven't even watched the first movie. But anyway, i guess it was pretty good. Better than i had expected it to be, anyway. Kind of draggy, though.
So finally i got to watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S today. I managed to finish the remaining half of season 7, and i can't wait to watch the rest. Chandler is so charming :) Oh, and i had a dream the other day about being one of the friends o_o
Tomorrow i'm going running. Ah, life's great.

Loving life.
KS has been spending the past two days teaching me Stats. Thanks Boy :)
Today was great. KS came over around lunch time, then taught me some Stats stuff. We took a nap, then went for dinner at White Sands. KFC. Then we walked around in the supermarket. It was nothing fantastic, yet i just felt really happy.
Simplicity of happiness :)
I love my friends. It's just really nice to know my old friends are always there, especially when i'm feeling lonely at NTU. I mean, sure i have friends there, but hardly any i can really hang out with.
Thanks for the SMSes - Yuxiu and Samantha
Thanks for the Facebook posts - Geraldine and Ruby
Thanks for spending time studying with me - Sharon and Yvonne
Thanks for random MSN crap - Quil
Thanks for the long phone call - Benedict
Friends are wonderful. Life is wonderful.

:)
I went back to TP the other day, to register for my alumni card. Dropped by the lecturers' rooms, although my two friends who were with me weren't very keen on doing so. The first [and just about only] lecturer that we saw and talked to was Mr Tan, whom i think is one of our favourite lecturers :)
He saw me and went, "Hey, i was just talking about your Campbellocking with Mr Chan!"
Is it any wonder why i love poly so much? Even my lecturers are like friends. We ended school in February, graduated in April, and the last time i went back was in August [although honestly, poly felt like a long long time ago - all my poly friends agree]. And Mr Tan remembers. I don't know if it just so happens that he suddenly remembered, or he just has a memory for every student's details, or maybe it was just something interesting to him.
I don't miss poly so much now. I might again when school reopens, but at least i know the friends i gained through poly are going to stay by me :) And so will my bros, my babes, my family, and my boy <3
Haven't run since after the first time i got back to it last week. I need to accumulate enough stamina to keep moving for at least 3.5 hours.
It's probably the music i'm listening to [Yiruma's piano stuff]. I'm feeling pretty good, relaxed and satisfied with everything right now :)
Hopefully i can get my new phone before Christmas [and then i'll go to Marina Barrage again and take photos with Boy :D]. I know i previously mentioned that i wanted a C905, but i'm reconsidering because of the cost and whether it's practical for me. The other one i'm eyeing is W902.
Life's wonderful. Yeah :)

Nostalgia :)
Went out with poly friends for dinner again, this time to celebrate Sharon's belated birthday. We celebrated her birthday at Sakae two years in a row -.-
It was really great catching up with them again, although it hasn't been very long since we last met up. Since the last time, complaints about our new lives have dwindled as we all get used to what lies ahead for the next few years. We still lament and everything, and it's nice to know people who are in more or less the same boat.
After that, Sharon drove me back and we had a long chat about uni life. Talked about lots of things that i would blog about if i could remember all of it, but unfortunately i can't.
Just a few years ago, we stepped into poly, behaving like the kids we were, talking about playing pool, mahjong, having picnics at Pasir Ris Park and watching movies. Now, here we are talking about the economy, job prospects, property, cars... How we've grown. And i'm glad to have done so in such a comfortable environment with fantastic company.
Thanks people :) It's really great to have you guys around.

:)
I met up with my poly friends for dinner today. It was merely for a few hours, but i felt genuinely happy. At moments i practically felt like crying out of joy. The feeling of familiarity that they provided me with was overwhelming, particularly at a time when i'm feeling so out of place and foreign in my new school [which, honestly, isn't exactly new considering i've been there two months... that just makes things worse].
They find it surprising that i'm unable to really fit in. I find it surprising too. It's not like i didn't make an effort. Maybe it just isn't enough.
Okay i don't really want to flood this blog with laments and stuff. I just wanted to mention how happy and thankful i am, to be able to hang out with my dear friends again :)
